The Scheme for Adolescent Girls (SAG) is a government initiative aimed at improving the nutrition and health of adolescent girls aged 14 to 18 years. Under this scheme, nutritious food is provided to ensure their proper growth, development, and overall well-being.

- Adolescent girls aged 14 to 18 years
- Especially from economically weaker sections

- Nutritious meals or take-home rations (THR) are provided through Anganwadi centers.
- Food includes protein, iron, calcium, vitamins, and minerals to prevent malnutrition.
- Helps in reducing anaemia and supporting physical & mental development.
