ICDS and Basic Education Department

For smooth functioning of the ICDS programmes, Basic Education Department provides cooperation by running the following activities:

1. For the successful implementation of the pre-school education services at Aanganwadi centres, Basic Education Department provides kit to all such centres.

2. For running aanganwadi centres, space is provided in the premises of the primary schools.

3. Regular health check-ups are provided by the primary schools to its students also provided to all the children of those aanganwadi centres which are running in the premises of the primary schools.

For potential implementation of the ICDS services, Basic Education Department provides cooperation by running following activities in addition to the above:

i. Local workers of the Education Department provide cooperation in the activities of the pre-school education as imparted in the aanganwadi centres.

ii. Local workers of the Education Department also provides cooperation in other activities running at various aanganwadi centres like nutrition and health education, advantages of the use of iodine salt and others.
