ICDS and Panchayati Raj Department

Following activities of Panchayati Raj Institutions can ensure potential implementation of the ICDS services:

1. To provide land for the construction of buildings of aanganwadi centres and also construct a narrow lane /road to reach the respective aanganwadi centre.

2. Gram panchayat conducts a careful scrutiny of the various activities running at aanganwadi centres like whether the centre is opening at right time or not, cleanliness level at the aanganwadi centre, whether food is cooked in a proper and hygienic manner at the centre, vaccination related activities are undergoing or not and others so as to do a careful perusal of the various activities and thus provide cooperation in their proper implementation at the aanganwadi centres.

3. Gram Panchayat make sure that all essential samagri for the preparation of food prepared at aanganwadi centres is available.

4. Gram Panchayat make sure that Village health and cleanliness samiti provides cooperation to the nutrition related activities running at aanganwadi centres.
